Potassium sulfate

Potassium sulfate

Potassium sulfate is used for plant fertilization in both open fields and greenhouses, applied either in dry form or as solutions through any irrigation system. It is recommended for all crops during the flowering and fruit-setting phases, as well as under conditions of water deficit and high temperatures. It is also highly effective in preparing perennials, shrubs, and trees for the winter period

Composition
Potassium (K₂O)51,5%
Sulfur (SO₃)46,5%
  • Exceptional purity and high solubility ensure effective nutrient uptake
  • Increases plant resistance to drought, low temperatures, and fungal diseases
  • Enhances the taste, color, and aroma of fruits, increases starch content in potatoes, and pectin content in fruits and berries
  • Plays a role in protein composition and amino acid synthesis
  • Reduces soil salinity levels with regular application

Potassium sulfate contains no nitrogen, which makes it the optimal choice for application during the final stages of crop cultivation. It is particularly effective for bulb onions — in the last weeks of vegetation, this is the only permissible fertilizer.

Application Rates and Methods

Irrigation:

- In greenhouses: 0.02%–0.5% (0.5–2 kg per 1,000 L of water)
- In open fields: 0.03%–0.2% (0.3–2 kg per 1,000 L of water, 5–30 kg/ha)

Foliar application:

For field crops — 1%–2% solution (3–7 kg/ha)

The fertilizer is characterized by a bitter taste with sour and salty notes.
The powder dissolves quickly in water

Packaging and storage

The potassium fertilizer is supplied in soft big-bag containers.

Storage conditions:

  • Store in closed, dry warehouse facilities at temperatures from –40 °C to +40 °C, avoiding exposure to moisture and direct sunlight.

  • Do not allow contact with acids, alkalis, or flammable substances.

  • Stack big-bags on pallets in a single row to ensure stability and accessibility for inspection.

  • When handling the fertilizer, use personal protective equipment: gloves, respirator, and safety goggles.

Frequently asked questions

01. What Types of Mineral Fertilizers Do You Offer?
Our range includes nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, as well as complex NPK blends and specialized mixtures. We provide both standard formulations and modified options with sulfur, magnesium, and micronutrients
02. In What Packaging Are Fertilizers Supplied?
We offer fertilizers in various formats: bulk, big bags weighing 500–1000 kg, and 25–50 kg sacks. This makes it convenient to choose the right option for large farms, as well as medium-sized agricultural enterprises
03. How Should Fertilizers Be Stored?
Fertilizers should be stored in dry, well-ventilated areas, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. When stored in bulk, it is recommended to place them on pallets and cover with waterproof materials
04. Can Your Fertilizers Be Mixed with Other Products?
Most complex fertilizers can be combined with pesticides and other agrochemicals; however, we recommend conducting a compatibility test before use. If needed, we provide consultation on optimal application schemes
05. How to Choose the Right Fertilizer?
The choice depends on soil composition, climate conditions, and the specific crop being cultivated. Phosphorus fertilizers are best for initial feeding, nitrogen fertilizers for active growth, and potassium or NPK complexes for yield formation and product quality improvement. Our experts will help you find the optimal solution for your needs
